I owned these for seven weeks. While I did use them pretty much as everyday kicks and I am traditionally kind of hard on shoes, I a bit taken aback by how quickly they wore out. The leather started getting ratty, the soles abraded very easily, the foam "base" got chewed up and torn out, and on both shoes the sole actually started separating from the shoe. I ended up warrantying them for a pair of Shore Leaves, which I like MUCH better.

Aesthetically, they look kind of funky. The main reason is the foam base, it just doesn't look quite right. I think it'd do a little bit better if foam was cut closer to where the leather breaks. They'll pass for business casual if people aren't paying attention, but definitely wouldn't wear them with a suit or if you were meeting clients.

On the plus side, they were VERY comfortable. Aesthetic issues aside, I would buy another pair as everyday work shoes if the durability concerns I had before were addressed. However, based on my experience, I can't recommend them.

I was worried they would stop making this style. The best work shoe ever, hands down. Will keep wearing these forever as long as they keep making them.

My buddy got these for me in black as a Christmas gift last year. They're the perfect companions for my Donnys. Sanuk heard our plea for a leather shoe we could wear to the office. These shoes (oops, sandals) were comfortable with socks right out of the bag. I've worn them to the office, to weddings, even to a funeral. I'm thinking about getting a pair in brown and chucking my hard shoes.
