Mens Shore Leave
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a comfortable Not-a-Shoe. That started from this tropic office, aboard this conference table. The president was a mighty good looking man and the intern unfortunately wore crocs. Five employees sat down that day, for a three hour meeting, a three hour meeting. The language started getting rough, the tiny lunch was tossed. If not for the comfortable feet of the fearless staff‚ your outfit would be lost, your outfit would be lost.

These are some of the best shoes that I have owned in a while. They were really my first pair of non-running shoes and I am so glad I got them. I wear them for any occasion and am currently on my second pair. They are a little more casual than sperry's and way more comfortable. They may wear out or do many other thing that others have said are con's, but it is all worth it. Some of the best shoes out there. Period.

To start, I'd give them a 4.5 if it were an option.
I've had a pair of the brown Shore Leaves for about five months, and they've been my go-to shoes during that time period. I'm big on minimalist ("barefoot") style shoes, and these are about as close as you get with everyday shoes. I ended up buying a pair of charcoal ones as well.
The shoes are extremely comfortable. They allow your foot to function naturally. They also feel wider than other Sanuks, I tried on the Scurvy's (which I think are the same last with a canvas build) and they felt much more constrictive. They give a little bit less "feel" than most Sanuks with their sandal foam base, but the flip side of that is that sole is MUCH more abrasive-resistant and durable (based on my experiences with the Board Room shoe).
Aesthetically, I like the brown ones a lot. They can work very casually, but they can also go a bit dressier with khakis. Wouldn't wear them with black slacks, but that's just me. The charcoal ones are much more casual.
One minor thing, after five months of pretty consistent wear, mine are looking a little beat. The leather up front is a bit wrinkled and cracked, while the leather in the back is kind of slick and "shiny." I am going to try to clean 'em up and use some leather conditioner on the brown pair, and will preemptively use some on the new charcoal pair. The rubber is also SLIGHTLY separating from the leather at the ball of the foot. However, these problems are only really noticeable when I hold the shoes up to get a good look at them. In the mirror and looking at them from up top, not terribly noticeable.
One minor comment, not a complaint really: I wear them with the laces and I find after having broken in the shoes considerably, they are too lose to be worn as slip-ons. I don't know if this would be the case if I'd worn them as slip-ons from the beginning.
All in all, highly recommended. They lose half a star for the minor durability things, but all in all, great shoes.
